The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Daniel & Chelsea Get a Matchmaker Lucys New Couple for R

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) could try playing Cupid for her dad again. Lucy already tried to give Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) a nudge in Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) direction romantically, but Daniel maintained that they were just friends.

Daniel and Lily clearly have more than friendly feelings for each other, but they’re choosing not to rush anything.

Lily and Daniel had a sizzling night together, but they’re being cautious since they don’t want to ruin their bond.

That could give Lucy a chance to choose a new potential love interest for Daniel.

Lucy met Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) recently and knows she’s involved in the gaming platform, so there could be another opportunity for matchmaking.

What was the point of having Chelsea meet Lucy and spend a little time getting to know her?

There must be a reason why Y&R writers included Lucy and Chelsea’s sweet moments in the May 22 episode.

Lucy certainly seemed to like Chelsea, so maybe this is going somewhere.

It might be interesting if Lucy decides to give Daniel a romantic shove toward Chelsea this time around.

Lucy hates for Daniel to be lonely while she’s off in Portugal, so that gives her a motive to pair him up with someone to keep him company while she’s gone.

Since Daniel doesn’t want to damage his friendship with Lily, Lucy might shift gears and hope her dad will experience some flying sparks with Chelsea instead.

Of course, Lucy doesn’t know anything about Chelsea’s current dating life.

Even if Lucy knew about Chelsea and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) romance, she probably wouldn’t let that deter her.

Lucy is at an age where she can be the perfect scheming teenager and shake things up.

It might be interesting if Lucy makes a mess by playing matchmaker for Daniel and Chelsea, especially if it makes Lily jealous.

Perhaps by trying to push Daniel down a different romantic path, Lucy could ultimately move things along for Daniel and Lily instead!
