Sneaky fast: Joe Burrows witty response to JaMarr Chase taking shots at his ability to r

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are the new-age Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, the duo is a deadly combination, their chemistry is perfect, and that combined along with their IQ on the field elevates their performance on the field. It comes as no surprise that the duo in their first season connected perfectly and made use of that bond they had back in LSU and helped the Cincinnati Bengals make the Super Bowl.

We do know the duo has fun on the field but why end it there? Why not extend the fun with their off-the-field antics as well? After all, there really is not much to do in Cincinnati… When you are that bored and all you have is football and training, it is understandable to have some fun online with your teammates.

Ja’Marr Chase takes shots at Joe Burrow over his speed:

Wide-receivers are all cheetahs, they could essentially play in a game on Sunday and could compete in the 100-metres or 200-meter race at any national or international athletics tournament without breaking an additional sweat. Most of them flex their speed which is only fair as if you got it then why not brag about it? Chase did the same, he knows he is fast and decided to mock his quarterback instead of how slow he was.

The quarterback position is not the most athletic on the football field, you need a great arm to throw and have vision along with a high football IQ. But when a guy like Tom Brady, who was far from looking like an athlete when he started out can succeed, it gives hope to other quarterbacks who also may not be the best athletes.

Joe Burrow can run the ball but only if he absolutely needs to that is, he is clearly no Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick, his primary aim is to throw the ball and get rid of it in as short a span. Joey B recorded an impressive 4.90 seconds in his 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, his numbers are actually slightly better than the average for QBs. The average stands at 4.93 for the position.

Ja’Marr Chase, on the other hand, recorded an impressive 4.38 seconds on the clock in his 40-yard dash. The wideout is just shy of the 4.21 seconds NFL Combine record for the 40-yard dash. Though for a layman, it may not seem that big of a difference between Joe Burrow’s time and Ja’Marr’s time, in the NFL, their times are worlds apart.

It was only natural that Chase roast his quarterback for his slow pace. Joey B has immense confidence in himself, that is something we all know, so even if he runs as slow as a camel, he will make sure he confidently mentions it and even flexes about it. Chase claimed his quarterback thinks he is really fast, “Joey B swears he fast, like 20 MPH fast,” the wideout took shots at his quarterback.

Joey Cool as we know, was his natural self and casually responded with a, “One might say… sneaky fast,” tweet. The banter between the two is hilarious and if anything is a sign of their strong bond and their chemistry. Maybe we need to see a race between Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow.
