Early Life

Adam Glick was born on the 24th of January 1985 in Hobbs, New Mexico, USA. As a young kid, Adam moved around a lot and was raised in the US and overseas. After quite a while of traveling with his sisters and mother, Adam made the trip back to California. During his time in the city, Adam started taking an interest in the culinary world and started exploring. Even though Adam was already enrolled in a university in California, he chose to drop out of University and moved to South Carolina. He attended the Art Institute of California, in San Diego where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management. During his early years in San Diego, Adam cooked and served in some of San Diego’s finest restaurants including the University Club atop Symphony Towers, La Valencia Hotel, and Bertrand at Mr. A’s.

Yachting

After a while on land, Adam once again set off to the open sea. Nearly a decade later, Adam has worked in a variety of yachts from the 90′ all the way up to 225′ mega yachts. Adam has also done a fair share of traveling, including a 75,000 nautical miles journey as chef de cuisine, and a trans-Pacific crossing by sail. Over the years, Adam has traveled to more than 30 countries, working wherever he feels like. 

Below Deck Mediterranean

Even though Adam is known for his appearances in Below Deck Mediterranean, it was not his first appearance on TV. Adam first rose to fame following his appearances on the sixth episode of Food Network: Cutthroat Kitchen. This was back in 2013, and in 2016 Adam set sail for Split, Croatia to film the second season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Adam joined the crew of Sirocco as the chef and had a complicated relationship with deckhand Malia White, who also had feelings for bosun Wes Walton. Adam also clashed with Captain Sandy Yawn over his food preferences and disobeyed some of the guests’ requests. He ended the season on bad terms with Malia and Wes, but apologized to Captain Sandy for his behavior. In 2018, Adam returned as the chef of Talisman Maiton on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 3  and had a more relaxed and professional attitude. He got along well with the crew and the guests, and even developed a friendship with Hannah Ferrier, the chief stew who he disliked in the previous season.

Adam left Below Deck after two seasons but was back for the spin-off Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1. Adam joined the crew of Parsifal III as the chef and started a romance with chief stew Jenna Macgillivray. However, their relationship was rocky and often affected their work performance. Adam also had some issues with Captain Glenn Shephard over his food presentation and delivery. He left the boat with Jenna after the season ended, but they broke up shortly after.

Outside his work in reality TV, Adam also owns and operates a YouTube channel Chef Adam Glick where he posts tutorial videos to help and inspire young and coming chefs.

Adam Glick is living his best life after leaving Below Deck. He may not be serving guests on a yacht anymore, but he is still creating amazing dishes and memories wherever he goes.
