Louisa Johnson releases acoustic version of 'So Good'
We all know that 2015 X Factor winner, Louisa Johnson, has vocals that pretty much put the rest of the music industry to shame. Her voice is killer and there aren’t really any notes that she can’t hit, which she certainly proved today when she uploaded an acoustic version of her track ‘So Good.’
Louisa previously teased her fans with a snippet of the acoustic version of her latest single on Instagram and her army of supporters couldn’t wait to hear the full thing. Her comments section was filled with “I’m obsessed,” “Slay Queen” and “OMG” so we can only imagine how everyone is coping now that the whole three minute version is online – we shall pray for you guys.
Louisa is joined by an acoustic guitar player (for obvious reasons) for the performance, as well as two backing singers who really help carry the track and spice things up a little. Miss Johnson sounds incredible too, hitting the high notes with ease and putting a new spin on the song by adding some extra ‘oohs,’ ‘ahhs’ and note changes. The acoustic version of ‘So Good’ is rather relaxing to listen to, very chilled out and is a nice change from the dark, mysterious version we are used to hearing on the radio.
‘So Good’ is the lead single from Louisa’s upcoming debut album which is set to be released in 2017 and came after Louisa provided the vocals for Clean Bandit’s single, ‘Tears.’ It was written and produced by Steve Mac with additional writing from Chelcee Grimes and Ed Drewett. Louisa has performed the track live on The X Factor stage during the live shows as well as at this year’s Capital Jingle Bell Ball. The official video has also clocked up millions of views online.
