Hotel Marinedda Thalasso & SPA Review, Sardinia

Publish date: 2024-04-15

The service is generally excellent: staff are warm hearted and full of fun. There are two large swimming pools – fresh and seawater (complete with gushing cascade). At the sandy cove below the hotel you can hire sunbeds and parasols (€25/£23 for a couple with front-row seas views; €20/£17 and €15/£13 in the second and third rows). It’s a popular place for diving and snorkelling – and likely to be busy in July and August.

The Elicrisio Wellness Centre (one of the largest spas in all Sardinia) specialises in Thalasso (seawater) therapy, and offers an extensive range of treatments along with a cardio fitness gym, indoor and outdoor Roman-style pools (hot, tepid and cold water), a Finnish sauna and steam bath. Entrance is €30 (£27) per person for half a day and free for guests in the President and Executive Elicriso suites.

There are facilities for archery, basketball, football and tennis (all free), and concierge can arrange trekking, cruises, diving and water sports. Golf buggies pick up/drop off guests at the beach and there’s a free shuttle to Isola Rossa in high season. You’ll find Wi-Fi service throughout the structure, even on the beach.

Covid protection measures are meticulously observed, and there’s even a doctor’s surgery on site.
